Update January 2026

Completely overhauled shift system with project-based shifts, reworked approval workflow, inventory shopping cart and inventory tags.

Published on 9 January 2026. This update fundamentally overhauls the shift system: shifts are now attached to projects instead of appointments, the approval workflow has been redesigned, and the inventory gains a shopping cart and inventory tags.

Between July 2025 and January 2026, we also unified the design of the entire software and raised the base quality of all areas through convenience features and improvements to existing modules. The most noticeable points were the new inventory management, which uses a modular system to store your stock in the best possible way, and its extension with material allocations and article planning, to reflect the use of the inventory in projects and to spot shortages early during planning.

Shifts and duty roster

  • Shifts have been completely overhauled.
  • Shifts are no longer connected to appointments but can be connected to a project.
  • The shifts tab of a project is now the day view of the shift plan for the project's appointments and shifts, and behaves exactly the same.
  • The day view of the shift plan (duty roster) has been reworked and given more functionality.
  • Shift template groups have been implemented.
  • Shift times can be set individually per person within a shift.
  • Shift comments can also be entered at person level (comments for individual people).
  • "Shift qualifications" are now called "functions" and are defined per trade in the shift settings and user profiles.
  • New global shift qualifications can be created in the shift settings, which can then be specified on shifts; in the user profiles you can indicate whether the person holds this qualification.
  • The shift plan approval workflow has been fundamentally reworked: approval is requested per trade, and there is now a kind of log that lets the reviewing party trace when what was changed on existing requests. In addition, both negotiating parties can refer directly to content by marking individual days and shifts.
  • Break fields added when entering individual times in the duty roster.
  • New shift plan export for the shift component in a project, with an anonymisation option.
  • Working time change requests: the assigned person can request a working time adjustment from the shift planners directly in Artwork.

Calendar

  • The calendar PDF export has been reworked.
  • New "Timeline" display option in the main calendar.

Inventory

  • The inventory list view has been adapted to the new inventory structure.
  • Inventory shopping cart: the shopping cart lets you gather articles in both inventory views and add them with a click. Once the cart is filled, a new material allocation with the selected articles can be created directly from it.
  • Filters added to the "Article planning" page.
  • Inventory tags added: these tags can be created and grouped in a dedicated tab in the inventory settings and help with deeper categorisation and grouping beyond the boundaries of categories and subcategories. The tags can be given permissions, which lets you define more precisely which staff may maintain which inventory data; you can also filter by these tags.

Projects and general

  • New project base data component.
  • Improvement of several loading mechanisms: in several places in the software, every change of a value caused the whole page to reload. We fixed this primarily in the project tabs, so only the respective component reloads and the page updates automatically in real time for the other users.
  • Several convenience features added across the software, e.g. "Delete all appointments of the series" as a new action for recurring appointments in the calendar, or the "Create individual time series" function in the lower area of the shift plan.
  • A number of small improvements to loading times and user experience, such as direct focus in the project components so you can start typing immediately after clicking.
